76th WHO Regional Committee for the Western Pacific
The 76th session of the WHO Regional Committee for the Western Pacific (RCM76) was held in Nadi, Fiji, from 20–24 October 2025. Dr. Tomoyuki Hayashi from the Kanazawa University WHO Collaborating Centre participated in the meeting.
Key topics discussed included strengthening alcohol control, addressing climate change and health, promoting oral health, and enhancing health regulations across the region.
Dr. Hayashi attended plenary and technical sessions.
Through this participation, the Kanazawa University WHO Collaborating Centre identified opportunities to contribute to regional efforts, particularly in the fields of climate and health, digital health and AI applications, and workforce development. Moving forward, closer collaboration with WHO and regional partners will be essential to advance research, education, and policy implementation.
